The decisions that stall a business in a regulated environment are rarely technical.
They are regulatory, political, and about who trusts whom. Complex business problems rarely belong to one discipline. Most of our mandates draw on more than one of these, because the problems do.

Hyphen Partners is led by an energy industry executive with thirty years inside Nigerian oil and gas. The firm was established around a simple conviction: many of the most consequential business challenges occur at the intersection of disciplines.
Strategy intersects with organisation. Business intersects with government and regulation. Operations intersect with communities and stakeholders. Leadership intersects with reputation and communication.
Successfully navigating these intersections requires more than specialist expertise in isolation. It requires the ability to connect the dots.
That is the role Hyphen plays.
Hyphen is a senior-led strategic advisory boutique. We provide strategic counsel and implementation support to organisations and leaders confronting complex organisational, market, policy, stakeholder and reputational challenges.
Our deliberately focused and flexible model gives clients senior attention while allowing us to assemble the strategic, sectoral and specialist expertise appropriate to each mandate.
Senior-Led. Multidisciplinary. Built Around the Mandate.
Our work is led by the firm's Chief Executive. Expertise is assembled around each engagement according to the strategic, sectoral, organisational, research, engagement, communication or specialist requirements of the mandate.
Where additional technical capability is required, we draw on experienced professionals and collaborators selected for their expertise and relevance. The result is an agile, fit-for-purpose model focused on client outcomes.

Sola Adebawo led the Executive Masterclass for energy correspondents at the Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition, hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers Nigeria Council, under the theme Engineering the Narrative: Why Technical Knowledge Matters in Energy Journalism.
His session, Mastering the Narrative: Bridging Corporate Reality, Energy Disclosures and Media Truth, examined the point where corporate communication, regulatory disclosure and credible energy journalism meet. The discussion covered how reporters can move beyond reproducing press releases: interpreting operational updates correctly, separating projections from performance, understanding what a material disclosure actually says, and translating technical information into accurate and accountable reporting.
Good corporate communicators explain an organisation's reality. Great journalists test that reality. The public deserves both.
Disclosure standards in the Nigerian energy sector are rising faster than public understanding of them. Sessions like this one are where that gap narrows, and where the work Hyphen does on corporate reality and media truth is tested in front of the people who report the industry.
Sola Adebawo joined the panel at the Oriental News Nigeria Conference 2026 to examine how regulatory reform, investment, technology and institutional collaboration can accelerate decarbonisation across Nigeria's extractive industry.
His contribution rested on a single proposition: for Nigeria, decarbonisation and industrialisation are not competing priorities and must advance together. The constraint, he argued, is not the quality of the policy. It is whether the infrastructure, the financing models and the institutional capability exist to turn that policy into measurable outcomes.
The conversation on Nigeria's energy transition must move beyond ambition to implementation.
The distance between a sound policy and a measurable outcome is an institutional problem, not a technical one. It is also the problem Hyphen is most often engaged to work on, which is why this conversation matters to the firm as much as to the sector.
Hyphen Insights shows how we think: research-led perspectives and analysis on the forces shaping organisations and their operating environments. In Practice shows our expertise at work.
